I am looking for a way to have user logon to the host site and based on their role, redirect them to a child portal that they belong to. What version of DNN can support that? Are there any 3rd party modules that can accomplish the same?

I use Dynamic Login from Data Springs for this purpose. It has worked so far. I use it on 5.0.1

In searching for this solution, I found this to be the only viable option.  There is a rather inexpensive solution on Snowcovered that does Role based Redirects, but the Dynamic Login module will register the user and pass all of their profile info over to the child portal for you.

Good Luck
