I have a successful install, but then i try and access the site given the following ways:

1.  Localhost = Goes to beginning of the installation.
2.  From another PC on the network, and i get, site is currently unavailable, please come back later.

I am sure it's very simple.

Thanks

Please give more details about how you installed it (URL used, etc) and how you are trying to access it locally and from another machine.

I installed it using Visual Web Developer.  I was not able to install it using IIS because it would not access the database i created using SQL Server 2005.  But, i was able to connected to that same database using VWD.

The install was successful.  I can run, login, access the site using VWD, but when i try the following:

1.  Browse Default.aspx using IIS = it does directly to the install wizard.
2.  IE = http://localhost = i get Install Wizard.
3.  When i try and access from another computer on my network using http://192.168.0.203/DotNetNuke/Default.aspx = It says Site Unavailable, please come back later.

Hope this helps a little bit more.

IIS and VWD are not the same thing.  You never installed it in IIS.  Fix your connection problems with the database, delete your current installation and database and start again.  You cannot serve pages off the system with VWD's development server.

Jeff,

I am very well aware they are not the same thing.  I competely know what they both are.  You can infact install this via IIS.  I can "browse" to that website inside IIS and it will go through the install, but it will not connect to the database using SQL Server 2005.  That is a permission problem.

I never said i could, or wanted to serve the pages via VWD.  I know i cannot.  I said, i can run the site, and connect to the database just fine, and finish the install.

Please re-read entire thread.
