Dear All,

Can anyone point me to a simple plain english description of how to upgrade from one version to a newer one.

I have been in the computing industry for over 20 years and having installed DNN into a working environment it seems that the upgrade path is one of the most nerve racking operations for any administrator.  errors galore and very little explanation of "Exactly" how to do the upgrade.

I have a stable DNN with version 4.8 and am nervous of doing any upgrades.  Yet if I log in as host I now have a red "Critical Updates" banner appearing.

How do I do a straightforward upgrade to my installation?

Yours,  Chris.

Hi Chris

I gave my answer to much the same question just a day or two ago:

Hope it helps.
