I have uploaded DNN on my GoDaddy hosting account and have started to build a site.  When setting up the site through the GoDaddy DNN Install you have to set it up in a folder and it cannot be the root folder.  This creates a file which would be www.mydomain.com/newfile/ which is where I would go to do any admin work on the site.  GoDaddy is telling me that I would have to do a domain redirect once the site is ready to go to so it ends up at the DNN page.

#1. is this correct or am I being misinformed by GoDaddy?

#2.  If a redirect is the way to go how can you get the homepage domain to just be the www.mydomain.com without the added file extension?

I am not sure but I think GoDaddy used the Plesk as his Hosting management. So this is correct.  This is not happend as a DNN issue, reather that Plesk didn't allow permission changes on its Domain root folder.

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated.

Since it is not a DNN issue how can you get the homepage domain to just be the www.mydomain.com without the added file extension?  Any solutions?

This is probably an amature question, I am learning as I go with this one.

The only way I know is to redirect via meta tag of a html file.
