I have a few sites using the latest 5.1.2 release of the community edition. All but two sites upgraded fine. One of them still has the HTML module at 5.1.0 and the other remains at 5.1.1. IN the module definitions page and extenstenions page they do not show any upgrade available, but then again the latest versions are not available here on DNN. How can I get these updated to the latest 5.1.2 version? I understand I may have to do it manually, so if anyone has a suggestion on that I would be thankful.

The upgrade should have happened automatically, either go into host->extensions and click install available extensions, or else you can do  http://yourwebsite.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=InstallResources to force installation of available extensions

Weill when I tried that I got this as the result:

00:00:00.006 - Installing Optional Modules:
00:00:00.041 - Installing Optional Skins:
00:00:00.041 - Installing Optional Containers:
00:00:00.041 - Installing Optional Languages:
00:00:00.041 - Installing Optional Providers:
00:00:00.053 - Installing Optional AuthSystems:
00:00:00.073 - Installing Optional Packages:

When I look at the available extensions, it looks like this:

Available Modules

This particular site has been using DNN since version 4. When I did the upgrade from 5.1.1 this morning there was an error stating that the HTML failed to install. Is or does anyone have the module itself that I could try and install thru the extension wizard?

Of course other ideas would be good as well.

Thanks,

Robert

Well I found the issue on the oldest site. It had 2 stored procedures and 1 function that had a very old db owner. Corrected those to "dbo" and it installed fine. What is strange is the two SPs had nothing to do with DNN at all.

Now on one of the newest sites (Feb 2009 and has always been version 5x) it gives the following error:

Info Start Sql execution: 05.01.03.SqlDataProvider file
Failure SQL Execution resulted in following Exceptions: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK_ModuleSettings'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'dbo.ModuleSettings'. Info End Sql execution: 05.01.03.SqlDataProvider file
Info Finished Sql execution

I hope this is easier to figure out .

As always to everyone, thanks for the help.

After some digging again, I found that the error produced was regarding a duplicate module entry in the module settings table. I found this the hard way by deleting the primary, installed the html module, then removed the bad record, added the relationship and key back to the table. Tested and all is well.
