Just starting to look at DNN. I was thinking of installing on a local XP computer. Can DNN work with IIS 5.1?

I've had some bumps installing on my office server and thought it might be easier to load locally.

Thanks

yes, you can easily use IIS in Windows XP Pro. I suggest installing XP pro IIS Admin from www.jetstat.com, it is great to run multiple websites locally.

Maybe, maybe not.  There are limitations to IIS on a workstation.  You might want to post your "bumps" to see if there's something easily fixed.

One major 'bump' is after I finally have DNN running on my server non of my workstations can view the site.

Works fine on the server but I get a runtime error on workstations.

In Host :: Portals, you need to add the external domain address as additional portal alias.
