We have a few applications running with SQL/Server 2000 and for various reasons cannot upgrade to a later version of SQL/Server right now.

We would like to install DNN 5.1.2 if it can run with SQL/Server 2000.  Can this be done?

Yes it can, but Joe has announced that 5.2 and beyond will need SQL 2005 upwards.

Core problem for the move towards dropping sQL 2000 support is that all development is done on SQL 2005 , though we tried to avoid use of specific features. Now there are plans to utilize improved SQL features like VARCHAR(max) and others for best performance.
