 Hi All,

I've recently installed dotnetnuke 5.1.2 version. My OS is Win server 2003 R2, and I'm using dot net framework 2.0 in IIS. After installing the 5.1.2 version, i've logged in with host account but, all the host options like Host settings, portal etc.. are coming as "Page can not be displayed". is this anything to do with the dot net framework 2.0.

What is the dotnet frame work 5.1.2 version supports. Please help. And what would be the better version to use for 2.0 framework...

Thanks,

Vikram

DNN 5.x does not support .NET framewok 2.0. you should use DNN 5.x on .NET 3.0 and upper.

If you are limited to .NET 2.0, please use DNN 4.x.

Nicolas is not quite correct: DNN up to 5.1.x runs on .Net 2.0, but 5.1 uses .Net Framework 3.5, if installed, otherwise it warns that DNN 5.2 and above will require .Net 3.5 SP1.

If using .Net 2.0, you need, however, install AJAX 1.0 separately. if this doesn't fix your issues, you should start installation from the scratch and make sure, to grant full file system permission to ASP.Net account ("network service" by default) for installation directory and all files and subfolders within.

I have had the same problem with my latest upgrade from 05.05.00 to 05.06.01. My problem was specific to the module container I was using. the register tag at the top of the container ascx file was: <%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="ACTIONS" Src="~/Admin/Containers/SolPartActions.ascx" %> and the "actions" tag looked like this: The problem was that the ProviderName attribute was set to DNNMenuNavigationProvider instead of SolpartMenuNavigationProvider. After changing it to: It started working fine again. Hope this helps.
