I am trying to install DNN 4.9 source . when i am trying to run it an erroir occured saying

The entry 'ScriptModule' has already been added.

Is this normal ? why is this coming ?

I commented this lines in web config. then installed the application. But it is not working main functions like add/edit page. it is useless without these functions. Can you help me please.

Add this before: remove name="ScriptModule" />

Most likely you have somewhere in you root another web.config which is also seen by IIS.

I have done this before install. tell me then why it has used there. What is the missing feature by removing this?

I have not used another web config file.

Did it work or not. I sometimes add it as a quick patch for a problem. That's all. The script functions are indead used for the module actions. So they must be there.

If I put it as it is my application is not running and giving above error.I have to remove it to make stuff work. WHy is that ? Is this only for me ?
