Hello

I wonder if somebody can confirm this:

When installing DNN on a local PC I know that I must change the address line in both files

DotNetNuke.vprpoj.webinfo

and

DotNetNuke

For local:  "http://localhost/mysite/DotNetNuke.vbproj"  ( know that this one works)

for remote:

 is it: "www.mysite.com/DotNetNuke.vbproj"

or is it: "http://www.mysite.com/DotNetNuke.vbproj"

Thanks

Laura

Hello,

The files you mention, i.e. "DotNetNuke.vbproj" and "DotNetNuke.vbproj.webinfo", should normally not be manually edited; they are directly operated by your development environment (like MS Visual Studio). Moreover they are not concerned by any configuration except if you aim to open the DNN solution and/or create/modify a DNN module or a project referring to DNN components (e.g. DLL).

If you mean that you look for the correct URL to access your DNN portal, the locations you quote should suit. The following URL "http://localhost/DotNetNuke" is the local default access path when no particular customization has been made during DNN setup.

Please post back and add any precision about your question if this answer does not match your satisfaction.

With regards,
nha, from Lyon/France.
