I have DNN 4.9.5 running ok in my PC, but if i try to install DNN 5.0.0 or latest version i have an error and i don't have any idea why.

Dnn only says

An error has occurred.
An error has occurred

Please help me!!!

The following information will help in trying to figure out the issue:

  • What OS are you running
  • What Database Server and Version are you running (i.e. Sql 2005)
  • Do you have .Net 3.5 SP1 (if not, what versions do you have installed)
  • Have you tried installing the newer versions of DNN 5 (5.1.4)?

This information will help in trying to assist you.

Thanks for answer..

  •  I tried in Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista and Windows 7. Same problem.
  • SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition and SQL Server Express Edition
  • Yes, i have .Net 3.5 SP1
  • Yes, i tried install DNN 5.1.4

So you have tried 3 time on three supported systems/configurations.  Have you tried re-downloading the install of DNN?  Maybe it was corrupted in some way.
