Hi,

I've installed DNN 4.x and DNN 5.x successfully on the x32-based versions of Windows many times.

Now I tried to install DNN on the x64-based versions of Windows but every time I got this error: “The compiler failed with error code 1

Could you tell me what else I need to do in addition to DNN installation on the x64-based versions of Windows?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Doru

There might be a permission issue, I am running DNN sucessfully on multiple systems.

Which OS version are you using (Vista, Win 7, Server 2003 or Server 2008)?

I got error when I am using Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x64 Edition Service Pack 2 that is the x64-based versions of Windows.

Then I tried the same kit (DNN 494) on Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x32 Edition Service Pack 2 and I installed successfully. Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x32 Edition Service Pack is x32-based versions of Windows.

So the problem seems to be related to x64-based versions of Windows.

Thanks,
Doru

did you  make sure having AJAX 1.0 and .Net framework 3.5 installed on your server?

did you compare IIS settings, especially ASP.net authetication options?
