I installed DNN 5.1.4 on Windows Server 2008, with SQL Express V 10.0.  It took me a while to get the ConnectionString right, but it appeared to install as the DB tables were created automatically.  When browsing to http://localhost/dotnetnuke/ I get the DNN Community "Home" screen.  But nothing works.  When I click on "Login," something appears to load, and then...nothing.  I have enabled all Active X controls and removed Windows IE Enhanced Security.  I've checked the logs and don't see any errors.

I was able to get to a login screen by adding "?ctl=login" to the url.  Still nothing.  I can put in bad passwords, no passwords, correct passwords.  I don't even get any errors.  The same screen is just shown back to me after clicking login or hitting enter.

I'm getting frustrated and don't know where to turn.  Any help would be appreciated.  Please let me know if you need any more info.

-Matt

I am a total newbie at DNN.  Can you please point me to the full path where I might find the log files?  Which log files in particular?  The IIS ones?  Does DNN have its own set?  I searched the disk but didn't see any obvious log files, and the IIS ones only showed requests for files.  No errors that I saw.

Thank you.

Most likely, MS ASP.Net 1.0 is not installed on your server.

Also make sure to run in an app pool using integrated (pipeline) mode.
