Hi all,

I've been trying to upgrade our DNN 4.9.5 installation to the DNN 5 branch. However, we keep getting the same one error during installation, which is the same as I've seen in a few places "The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPackageByName' doesn't exist.". The error occurs while performing the 5.0.0 upgrade step. It happens regardless of if I'm upgrading to 5.0.1 or a later release.

Everything else works fine, but after the upgrade, I can't login to the site, or access any backend admin functions. The site itself displays fine, with all modules, etc, working seemingly OK.

I've been trying everything I can think of to resolve this, but so far no joy. The other odd thing I've noticed is that, before the upgrade, there is already an SP called GetPackageByName, so I'm even more confused by the error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've been trying everything I can think of to resolve this, but so far no joy.

I was consistently getting the same error when upgrading to any 5.x from 4.x. I finally upgraded my SQL Server to SQL 2008 (i was using 2000). And the upgrade finally went through without any problems.
