I have a problem Please Solve it
I have Created a DotNetNuke base Web application (myapplication) on a Remote machine it is working fine on that Remote

Machine
Now i saved and compiled the "myapplication" on C:\inetpub\wwwroot\

i have created an HTML Page "sample.html" in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\myapplication\sample.html

and accessing from my Local Machin as
http://RemoteMachinIPAddress/myapplication/sample.htm

it is working fine....

and Now trying to Access the Remote machine application (myapplication) from my Local machine as
http://RemoteMachinIPAddress/myapplication/home.aspx

but not able to access on My local Machine

The Error i am facing on my Local machin

Server Error in '/' Application.

Please Solve this issue to access myapplication saved on Remote Machine in C:\inetpub\wwwroot\
and trying to access from local machine

please do not add your post to old threads, if you aren't sure, it covers the same situation.

Regarding your issue:

  • make sure, to install DNN in the root of an IIS web site or virtual directory (if moving, make sure to keep server relative path, otherwise a number oif links within the content might be broken)
  • add the new domain address as portal alias in Host :: Portals module, before moving the site.
