I don't even know how to answer this question correctly...but during install

I'm using the community version to test out for the company to see if this is a solid fit.

if i select typical The first line in the message box says  5.0.0.0  400 "Generic Failure" but tables are being created on the database which is on a different server

So deleting the database & creating a new DNN folder on the IIS server... Let's start again...

I configured the .config files to the proper connection strings for SQL 2000.... this time on install i select auto... and all green lights until

........
........
00:06:14.656 -   Installing Package File....
it sometimes breaks on Package file HTML_Community 

this time..

Installing Package File DNN-MinimalExtropySkin_01.00.04_Install:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Server Error in '/' Application.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thread was being aborted.

 

Any suggestions on what's being done wrong?

please use custom install and do NOT select all modules, only those needed (you may easily install  the others later from DNN via UI)

Thanks for the the response... but custom & typically results in this 

Failure installing Database Scripts
Installing Database - Version 05.00.00...FAILURE 400 - Generic failure

i'm guessing the next question is can this even be done on sql 2000? but then again... it is creating tables... so that couldn't be the issue... any suggestions?

sorry, SQL server 2000 is not supported any longer.
