SQL Server 2005 (or 2008) Express will work fine but not SQL Server 2000.

It gets more mysterious for me.  I copied my source files from my web host to my local computer (Windows 7 Ultimate).  I then set up the web site to run locally (i.e. http://localhost) attaching to the same SQL 2005 database at my web host (isqsolutions.com).  Running locally under IIS 7.5, Classic .NET AppPool, .Net 3.5, the local version of the web site runs perfect (i.e. no problem with the host settings).  My web host is running Windows Server 2003 and IIS 6.  Is it that I need to be running under .NET 3.5?  If so why when I click on the Dashboard do I see ".NET Framework Version: 2.0.50727.4927".  That seems to contradict what I see under the Host Settings where I see ".NET Framework 3.5" for my local installation.  The Dashboard and Host Settings seem to be giving contradictory information about the .NET Framework version.

Sebastian,

Thanks for the pointer to the other discussion.  However, it seems to contradict some information that I found on the Microsoft web site.  Please have a look at:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/kb00318785.aspx

I've got an enquiry to my web hosting service to see what version of the .NET framework my site is using.  If it is less than .NET 3.5 SP1, then maybe I've got a solution to my problem.  If not, I'm still lost.

The .NET framework seems not to be an issue.  My web host informs me that I'm running under .NET framework 3.5 with SP1 and IIS 6.  The database is SQL2005.  And finally the web site works fine on my home computer (Windows 7).  Up until the upgrade everything worked fine.  Now the Host Settings menu is unavailable.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks.
