I just installed Community v5.02. Or is it v5.20? I can't tell for sure because it says both on the download page.

"404 Error: Server Error in "/" Application. The Resource Cannot Be Found. /Login.aspx"

I've never had any issues with DNN installation. But this latest version has me stumped. I've attempted upgrading, re-installing, tweaking every IIS setting, tweaking the friendlyUrl config, everything. No go.

Installation went flawlessly. Everything seemed fine. I get to the default portal's homepage with no issues. But I'm not able to get anywhere with any of the links: Register, Login or Home. Everything ends up complaining the aspx page can't be found as stated above.

I've seen other posts on this issue from previous versions, but it was always the Friendly URL Provider that was the culprit. Now, I'm not so sure. Please help.

Windows 7, IIS 7, SQL Server 2008 (worked on previous DNN version), .NET v3.5 SP1, etc. All the prereq's are up to date and accurate.

sorry, is it a new install or an upgrade?

I've tried both. The upgrade on existing and fresh install. Neither work. Both return the exact same results.

there seems to be a problem with URL rewrite, login.aspx is a virtual address which needs to be rewritten. did you enable IIS url rewriter, which might interfere? another problem could be missing permissions for the app pool identity.

Ok. I'm in the middle of meetings today, but I'll play with those settings tonight and let you know how things go. Thanks for your input!
