Issue: Cannot access any portal except the default portal with an alias of localhost

Scenario / Process:

  • Installed all prereq's
  • Created folder and set permissions for Network Service
  • Extracted Files
  • Created New "Web Site" within IIS to install to
  • Set "localhost" as binding to this new Web Site (DNNSites is the name of the site)
  • Ran DNN Install in IE via http://localhost - Worked Great!
  • Added a new portal: www.domain.com
  • Added a binding within IIS7 for www.domain.com on the DNNSites web site
  • Try to access www.domain.com - Does NOT Work!

I've double checked DNS.  I've double checked the portal alias spelling and the spelling in the browser.

Any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks!

Sorry for the post folks... someone had modified the hosts file.  Removed the entries and flushed the dns cache and it works fine.
