Hello,

I'm a newby considering DNN. I've followed each step in the installation guide but when I'm trying to access my website, I get the error "Login failed for user: sa". Don't know what I've done wrong.

This is the way my conn string is setup in the webcondig file:

<add key="SiteSqlServer" value="Server=Servername;Database=dnntestsite;uid=sa;pwd=;" />

Thanx for any help!

You didn't mention what version of SQL Server, regardless, it is never a good idea to use the 'sa' account for an application (and please don't say that the 'sa' pwd is blank!). You would be much better off creating an (SQL)  login that would only have dbo access to your dnntestsite DB.

If by chance your using SQL 2005, make certain that it has been configured to accept outside connections. It does not by default.

HTH
