It seems like many of the problems caused by upgrading are due to permission problems. I have used several other applications that actually run a script to check the file/folder permissions before the upgrade begins and gives a list of necessary changes for the upgrade to be sucessful. Is there any reason this couldn't be incorporated into DotNetNuke?

I know that this freature would have helped with any problems I have ever had in the past.

 there is permission check included in install wizard as well, when using "custom" option.
