Hello Experts,
I know I will probably have to roll back to DNN 05.01.04 (3) to fix this...
- I wanted to post this just incase someone might know a fix.
 
What happened:
- On 12/1/2009 I upgraded to DNN 5.2 and soon after that I noticed that one of my third party applications (Quiz Pro) stopped sending me email notifications when users passes a quiz.
- Today on a test server I rolled back to version DNN 05.01.04 (3) and the email notifications started working again (no other changes)
 
Note: In my other application "Feedback" and in the DNN email configuration test; the email still works with 5.2.
 
Because this Quiz Pro module seems to be the only module that is effected (at least that I use) I am guesssing this is not a real DNN bug but programming issue for the 3rd party module.
 
If anyone has an idea of what changed in DNN 5.2 and if there is a work around I would appreciate more information.

Silly question maybe, but what did the third party developers say about this when you asked?

Jeff,

I sent an email off to the developer on Monday Dec. 14th

On Tuesday they told me that they will look into whether email notifications stopped working with the DNN 5.2 Upgrade.  They said it would take 2 days to test it.  I have not heard anything else from them... yet.

I did send them updates on what I am finding on my end. (going back to a previous version of DNN fixed it)

Hopefully they will get back to me with a fix; I think something changed in the core DNN in regards to email and I hoped for a simple configuration change might get me going again.  Or maybe a clue on what was changed so I can pass that along to the developers so they can get their customers up again faster.

I have never found a change log from version to version maybe that would give me a clue if someone knows where I can find one.

I just got an email from the developer... they put out a new upgrade today.
