Patrik and csharpuser,

I am having the same exact problem.  I have installed DNN 4.0.3 about 20 times on GoDaddy and got all sorts of errors at first.  Now, for the most part, I get a clean install, portal created, etc.  However, when I go to the portal I get the same exact error that Patrik is getting.  I have done everything that is suggested in this forum as well as the details in the ASP.Net forum.  I am about to give up.  I've never seen such instability.  I really want this to work, but I am running out of options here.  Any help would be great.

Wayne

I know this is an old post but i am having this exact problem.  My install failed to create the portal folder etc.  Anyone know how to solve this?  My conn string is fine as it managed to create all the required tables.  It just didn't create a portal or portal alias.
