Hi There,

I'm having some problems getting started with DNN. (I'm new to the system). I registered and downloaded "DotNetNuke_Professional_Trial_Install.zip" this morning. I then opened it up via File > Open web site (In Visual studio 2008) ... on starting up, everything built ok and I ran through the setup wizard step by step. I then had a site which was working fine... i'd customised a few bits, done a spot of branding etc...

I then left the office for a break, closing down my machine. On returning I opened up VS again... on starting up I receive the following errors:

Error 1 'Context' is not a member of 'DotNetNuke.Professional.Modules.Admin.Analytics.GoogleAnalyticsSettings'. c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\dnn\79343730\c1f77705\App_Web_-p7evswr.0.vb 174

Can anyone please assist with a possible solution? Have I made a blinder of a mistake?

Hi Phil

You don't have the source version and you don't need Visual Studio to install DNN. Just unzip it into an IIS folder.

Try this link, installing DNN Pro is nealy exactly the same as installing DNN community:

Note you cannot build DNN without source.

Skip Visual Studio.  Install it in IIS and open it with a web browser.
