I've noticed that it is recommended now for SQL2005 and SQL2008 to be used when installing DotNetNuke.

we are using SQL server 2000, and upgraded to DNN 5.1 a few months ago.

Are there any known issues with using SQL server 2000 with DNN 5.1 ?

(the only thing we've noticed not working correctly is the search tool, not sure if it could be to do with sql2000 or not?).

mark.

I am not sure about "known issues", but running a later release of SQL (especially 2008) will offer you greater performance and greater compatibility with commercial modules (many of which like our/BGI's LMS require SQL 2005/2008 or they will not run).

Note also that beginning with DNN version 5.2.0, SQL Server 2005 (or Express) or later is required. Staying on SQL Server 2000 will make it impossible to upgrade the framework and most likely modules as new versions also requiring SQL Server 2005 or later are released.
