I have installed DNN 5.2.1 on a web farm with 3 web servers (IIS 7.0) and a standard central file share arrangement using 2 load balanced ARR v2 servers.

I added a page when connected to WEB1 but that page is not visible when connected to WEB2 or WEB3. I am making the assumption that this is a caching issue.

I have turned on the webfarmsupport flag in the web.config and all 3 servers are listed in the webservers table. My understanding is they are the two triggers used by DNN for web farms. Although when I go into the Host Settings, the Is Web Farm check box is not ticked. I have configured the caching and logging as per Shaun's WebFarm Support doc of 2006.

Is there any more up to date documentation on configuring DNN on a web farm?

For those who are interested, I resolved this issue.

ARR v2 by default has a disk cache enabled. If you go into the caching options and turn off the disk cache the issue goes away.

Hi there,

How did you manage to install Dotnetnuke on the 3 webservers?
I have this cluster environment with 2 web servers, and when I ran the install package onto the root, it seemed to only install it in one of the webservers.
Part of the reason is because the webcluster environment just happened to reroute the install to only one of the webservers.

You need to have the web farm configured using IIS shared configuration and shared storage.

You can see an example at http://learn.iis.net/page.aspx/118/sh...

I'm new to DNN. We have DNN Pro v 5.5.0, we are currently testing it. We have two windows 2008 R2 web servers IIS 7.5 running in shared configuration. But are having issues with cache syncing between the two web servers. If I change settings or create a new web page on web server 1, it it not reflected from web server 2 unless I blow away the cache by restarting the app pool on web server 2. Anyway, we are using IIS 7.5 Shared configuration. Sounds like you are too. Just wanted to know if you had any other tips. We are using Microsofts Network Load Balancing Manager.

TIA
