Hi, i'm trying to install DNN on the wer server of hosting and I get this error just before to begin installation.

Unauthorized Access Error

Error Details

File \\fs2-n01\stor1wc2dfw1\450393\465327\www.systar.com.ve\web\content\Portals\_default\\Logs\LogFailures.xml.resources
Error   Access to the path '\\fs2-n01\stor1wc2dfw1\450393\465327\www.systar.com.ve\web\content\Portals\_default\Logs\LogFailures.xml.resources' is denied. The Windows User Account listed below must have Read/Write Privileges to this path.

As i see it is a problem of permision but my hosting says that the windows  user account has already all the permissions. Of course i can't access to the IIS to check those parameters.

Any help? ideas?

Thanks.

You will need to get wtih your hosting provider and ensure that the ASP.NET process has full permissions to the installation directory to be able to properly install.

And tell your host it's the process account that needs permission, not the Windows user account.  Whatever that account is.

Hi, thank you Michael and Jeff. I passed that error and now when i browse my page to start the installation, I get the error page about the user where it says that under IIS5 the ASPNET user must have  read, write and modify access and under IIS6 is the NT Authority\Network Service. My shared webhosting tech support said to me that the problem is that the web.config must be impersonate, so I put this lines:

<system.web>
    <identity impersonate="true" userName="USERNAME" password="PASSWORD" />
   </system.web>

But beside I did that I lways get the permision error page. I do not know what else to do.
