David,

though I am unable to upgrade our sites from 4.9.5 to DNN 5 yet, according to experiences reported in the forums and upgrade issues fixed I strongly suggest directly upgrading from 4.9.5 to 5.2.2

I've tried several versions of 5 - like 5.0.0, 5.1.x, etc - well 12 tries and rollbacks so far.
Sorry just don't know what is duplicate key. My first attempt was going directly to latest release 5.2.2, thinking it should have least bugs/troubles.

I was reading elsewhere about using a "qualifier" (oa_) and troubles with install script. But even then, I don't know how to fix that or run it manually. I just know how to click 'upgrade'.

I rolled this back and retried (after contacting all 3rd party vendors re latest module) and get the same error.

The Version table has: (no dupes as far as I can see)

please remove the duplicate scheduler entry.

The error listed might be ignored, there seems to be code rerunning unconditionally, trying to add a table column, which fails if the column already exists.

The upgrade ended in yellow screen of death. Rolling back to 4.9.5 there is no entry to delete.
Removing the duplicate entry, and rerunning the upgrade, ends in exactly same error.
Any hints as to why this makes the duplicate entry? And how to avoid it?
