What version of DNN should I use if I'm installing DNN on a windows 2000 Server box with SQL Server 2000 and IIS 5?  Upgrading the box is not an option at this time.  I've got the .NET framework 2.0 SP1 installed.

Thanks,

Jim Leichliter

When i got the following sentence from the Download-Area right....

System requirements have changed in DotNetNuke 5.2.0. DotNetNuke requires SQL Server 2005 or above and .NET 3.5 SP1. Please upgrade SQL Server and .NET before installing or upgrading to DotNetNuke 5.2.0.

...i would suggest anything before 5.2.0, on the other hand there are some issues in the old 5.x versions which were fixed in the later versions.

So if i were you, i would takte the latest version 4, allthough i highly recommend to either upgrade your box or maybe to try running the latest version 5 in a VM which can be run on your "old" box. Inside the VM you can have whatever you need.

Cheers

Kai
