Yes, SQL Server is how I'm going...

See, the last install is what gave me the errors... and it was just a clean new set of files... interesting.... (let me give something else a shot.... please check back later for an update on this part.)

My hosting provider is allowing me to host my friends site on my plan - with just the cost of the domain/year... I don't want to have my friend spend any more money than necessary... but thanks for that tip.  I will be looking into that for future DNN Sites.

 Here we go again...

Right where we started with the original error when trying to log in.  This is a fresh install with an empty database... so, why is this happening?

This looks to be a Hosting issue ..   If DNN had gotten the page request and didn't like it, it should have gone to the home page, not 404.   The 404 issue is telling you that the IIS didn't know about the page.  So..  something odd.

I did get a javascript error on the home page:  Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729; .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0; InfoPath.2)

I tried to load  http://www.djcyrenity.com/Resources/Shared/scripts/initWidgets.js and got a 404.

So, this probably means that the page or file does not have the proper permissions.  You need to ensure that the files on the site have the correct permissions.  IF you do not have access to do so, you will have to have the Host to it for you.   (ASP.NET or Network Service - depending on OS - need to have modify permission on all file in the root directory or below).  If you host won't do this -- change host!

Check the Mitchel Seller site for exact details on setting up permissions.

those bastards at support...

So, get this... I log into their chat to ask them if it was possible, they gave me a link on how to do it myself with the antiquated UNIX system... which I thought would be great, but the only thing you can do is grant 777 persmissions across the board... that, to me doesn't seem secure.... and rather silly.

So, I have a ticket into second level support... we shall see what happens with it.

Thanks for your help.  Please check back again for updates.
