I recently installed and reinstalled dotnetnuke 4.0.3 and the web.config file was missing. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just fixed the problem.

Here;s what I did.

1. Manually created the web.config file and copied the development.config file into web.config file

The next thing I got was that the app could not find the database file for membership management. so I decided to use create my own db from scratch and I also wanted to use SQL Sever 2000. So..

2. Opened VS 2005 command prompt and typed aspnet_regsql to create membership template database.

3. In the web.config changed the SiteSqlServer connection string to my SQL server.

This was able to fix the problem.
