Hi,

Newbie to DNN and having issues getting the first site up and running. I downloaded the VS Starter Pack created the project etc with a few hiccups but all ok. Now when I go to run the install wizard it clears through permissions, begins the db install and fails with this error:

Upgrading Database to Version 05.03.01...Success
Upgrading Database to Version 05.04.00...Success
Upgrading Database to Version 05.04.01...FAILURE ERROR: Error: The URL cannot be empty.
Parameter name: url

Any ideas? Is anything meant to be done in the config? The db is set to SQL2008 Express, all defaults left as-is.

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Michael

Which DNN version are you 2 using?
Have you added Telerik to new pages in your project?

Hi,

Same for me. It's the clean ootb VS Starter Kit, IIS correctly set up accessed via the URL http://localhost/ProjectName/. The wizard kicks in and I went for Typical Install. The DB was set at Express, no changes were made. Then on the DB install it runs through the various upgrades until it gets stuck on the message i've posted. It looks to me like one of the DB Upgrades steps has an error in it.

Thanks for the help.

Michael
