I would like to verify the install requirements for Windows 2008 IIS7 for DNN Version 05.04.01.

1) does DNN require full trust to run?

2) Will DNN run with the integrated pipeline mode or does it need to run in classic mode?

I ask this because we had to run in full trust and then in classic mode to get the dnn installer to run properly.  There was a few errors like so:

00:00:10.843 -   Updating Config Files: 05.02.00 Error!

00:00:10.859 -   Updating Config Files: 05.02.01 Error!



but the installer said it completed properly.  So I wanted to verify these requirements and then also find out why we would have seen those types of error from the installer?

I can't speak for IIS 7, but I can for IIS 7.5. I have and do run DNN Sites under medium trust. Granted these are vanilla sites and some modules may need full-trust. As for integrated pipeline, that's all I use and have blogged about setting it up here.

Have you checked the log files (\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider) for the specific errors listed above?
