The installed comes up and I pass all the checks. The last screen that I reach is to select the modules. I select them all and hit next. About 3 minutes later I am presented with this error.

I checked the database and there are tables, etc. that have been installed.

What else do you need to know to help diagnose this?

I would recommend installing DNN 5.4.2 not an old 5.1.4 version if you can.

As for the error you are getting, you are walking through the custom install? I would go through typical, and after install use the Host/Extensions page, from the actions menu use the Install Available extensions option to get all the additional modules installed.

The reason I selected that version was because the installer wouldn't even fire in the version you suggested. I'll blow everything away and start from scratch again with DotNetNuke_Community_05.04.02_Install.zip and report back here.

Here is what I get when I attemp to launch the installer in that version.

A requirement for DotNetNuke versions 5.2.0 and above is that you must not only have ASP.Net 3.5 installed but also ASP.Net 3.5 SP 1 (service pack). The System.Web.Abstractions assembly is included in SP 1.
