I'm a bit confused... I had DNN setup and working fine. I made a backup of the working DNN DB. Restored it to the exact same server / instance but with a different DB name. So, at this point everything is exactly the same (tables, sprocs, permissions, etc....) with the exception of the DB name.

I pointed DNN to the new DB name. And the site quits working. I get a browser error saying the site is redirecting me in a fashion that will never end. I point DNN back to the original DB name and everything begins to work again. I did try a few basic things, like resetting IIS to remove any caching, etc...

Is there some kind of odd DB name dependency that I need to know about or change? I need the DNN site running under this new DB name.

By the way, if my post shows up twice, I got one of those lovely DNN errors without an error message. So I tried again.

did you change both connection strings in your web.config file?
