In order to set up our DNN dev environment I pointed VS at the root directory of our DNN install. Which was fine when I was running it the first time via debugger. But then after creating the first portal I was unable to run via debugger because of the following error:

Error   102   Could not create type 'Brettle.Web.NeatUpload.MultiRequestUploadHandler'.   C:\DEV\DNN\DesktopModules\XSDocumentLibrary\Components\FileUploader\NeatUpload\MultiRequestUploadHandler.ashx   1

do not try to precompile the site. simply run it in your browser (assuming you set oit up in an IIS web site).

Unfortunately that's not a solution since I'm setting up a development environment and need to be able to compile and run debug functions. However I did find the solution...

the .ashx files in the neatuploads directory incorrectly reference the DLL they need to function... correcting this by adding XepientSolutions to the strongly typed name made pre-compile work.

Thanks Heath,

This helped me get it compiling for me too.
