Hello,
i have been developing a replacement site to a production site. in the testing/development site i have completed all the configurations, installations, content. it is ready for production. i trn off the production site and then change all the IP's to the new numbers and i cannot get the new site to work. what is the procedure for chaning a DNN website IP?

It is not right clear to me where the problem is.

DNN Portals are (normally) running with so called portal-aliases, clear typed names. And the IIS and your DNS is dealing with resolving ips to names.

When you just replaced your old installation (folders and DB) with the new files and db, then it should work when setting the portal-alias to the old values and setting the table SERVERS correct.

If you placed your new files and db in addition to the old portal on the same server then you also must set this in your IIS-config.

When you change the IP on the server, you may need to change the binding in IIS to that new IP.  You will definitely need to change the DNS entry for your host names to resolve to the new IP.  It will also take time for the DNS change to populate through the internet, up to 48 hours for some servers.  There should be no DNN changes, unless you used the IP address as an alias, or in a link.
