What version of DotNetNuke did you install?

What package did you use to do the install - Install, Source, Web Platform Installer, Starter Kit?

Does your environment meet the following requirements for DotNetNuke 5.02.00 and above - ASP.Net 3.5 SP1, MS SQL Server 2005 or 2008 (Standard or Express)? ASP.Net 4.0 may also be used for DNN 5.04.xx and 5.05.00.

When during the install did you see "An error has occurred" x 2  - for example, did if you were uring the typical install mode of the Install Wizard, did you see the permissions check, database setup, installation of database scripts, setup of default portal, host and admin users complete successfully then receive the error when clicking to go to your portal the first time?

Have you tried restarting the IIS application pool or forcing a restart of the DotNetNuke application by opening the site's web.config file, making an insignificant change such as an extra space at the end of the first line, and then re-saving or re-uploading the web.config file to the server?
