Hey All,

I have a problem in downloading DNN comunity Edition using the Web Platform Installation...

I have already installed all the prerequests needed:
- MS Visual Stuidio 2008.
- MS SQL Server 2008
- IIS 5.1
- MS Dot Net Framewark SP1.

all are installed, but when I chose to downlaod the DNN Community Editoin using the web platform Installer I get the following error msg:
DotNetNuke Community Edition
This product did not download successfully: Url
'http://dotnetnuke.codplex.com/Project/Download/FileDownload.aspx?DownleadId=128764' returned HTTP status code: 403

and although I have already installed it successfully using the same prerequestes on another PC, but I can't this time on an another ones... any help would be thankful

I personaly preffer the manuell installation.  You can download the last DNN version on http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com and installing it.  It needs a little IIS and database knowledge but it is not hard to learn.  There are sone documents for installing DNN on this site.

Actually I've tried to download it that way , but it seems that I couldn't though...
could you tell me about the steps of download it manualy...

open http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com click the green download button on the right site and you get install zip file.  Extract the file where you want have it.  It is on the same computer as you want run it, reference the IIS to this folder.  But for detailed instruction to installation I suggest to read the install guide, you can download free from this website (support).

Thanks Mathias I figured out that the problem was with the firewall blocking the installtion from the codeplex website, so I asked then my Network Admin to open there port, and things went fine.
