hello

I tryng install DNN in windows 2003 server running iis6. Web directory have network service read/write permissions and etc. I using sql express 2005 and web.config have sucess to connect in database server, but all install tentatives show-me error bellow.

Anyone can shared some information about this error and howto solve?

In time: i already try get responses in google search and forum search, sorry if my question is very simple, but i really newbie in dnn install.

Network Service need full access. also you have to set read and executation permissions on the IIS on Documents.  After a failed install you have recreate the database and re-extract the files.

Iam also facing the same issue. I have tried adding permission and recreating the database & virtual directory. but the iam getting the same error. as given below

Sorry I aswers your question so late, I am very busy at time.

As I answered before, it is a permission issue on your local settiungs and IIS setup. The issue ocurs about missing permissions on your windows/Temp folder The file that is needed couldn't not created or was deleted before it was installed. The most matter is that the permissions are not set well. So please check your IIS, .NET Settings and permissions and your file and path permissions for the Application Pool user.

If you running a new install you have todo new create the database and new copy the files to your dnn folder.

If you running a upgrade you have to restore all files and the database from your backup to your previous version before you retry your upgrade from beginning.
