Hello and thanks for any help you can provide. I have read all the moving threads but couldn't find this situation referenced.

I started a dnn installation on a url and decided in the middle of development to move it to a subdomain of what will be the production site.  Both old and new site are hosted on the same server.  I copied over all the files, copied the db and set up the portal alias successfully and continued development on the new subdomain. However, today  I made changes to a stylesheet of one of the modules and the changes showed up on the original dev site, but not on the new subdomain.

It seems I've missed a set in moving completely away from the old installation.

Should I remove the original url from the list of portal aliases to get rid of it? (I won't be using it anymore).
Should I kill the original install in IIS?
Or, is there something else that i need to do?

My skills are very limited, but I can follow directions.  Thanks again for any help.

CM, I'd rename default.aspx in either of the sites and check out, what happens. if both sites are up or down the same time, there seems to be an issue in IIS configuration, pointing both domain addresses to the same site. In this case, you may (backup and remove)/ignore the other site and continue as you need. Make sure, that both IIS web sites don't point to the same physical DNN installation directory - in this case remove the second IIS web site!

Thanks!

I followed your instructions and then renamed the old database and dnn installation. Everything is working fine.
