Hi i installed dotnetnuke on windows xp computer on our network. I can view the default.aspx page when logged in to the server as localhost webpage. When i try to view the default.aspx page on the network from another computer I get a dotnetnuke error page with the dotnetnuke branding. Does anyone know why this might be happening. I able to view the dotnetnuke error page so i think that tells me i am able to see the site from the network, but maybe its a permission error?

thanks

you need to add a portal alias for the new machine (as dotnetnuke supports multiple urls for multiple portals it requires portal alias's to determine which portal to redirect to). log in as host, go to host->portals and select the portal and you'll be able to add the alias (i.e. the new server url) - alternatively you can do this under admin->site settings.
