Hello! I am new to the website development stuff, so I need to ask a lot of questions, but for now, I just need suggestions. Its probably been asked before, but I did a search and couldnt find anything. I have godaddy for hosting, but from what I am reading, I am not impressed. Anywho... I need something to get started on and want a month-to-month pricing plan that is pretty cheap so I don't nickle and dime myself while I am still figuring things out.

I can tell you guys are the experts so please send your expertise my way!

Hosting adult content brings with it a large number of legal issues - it is unlikely that you will find many hosting companies that are willing to accept hosting of such content - and even less that are willing to do so cheaply- as by simply being the hosting provider they can become legally liable for any breaches.  Even the communications company that provides upstream connections to the internet for such a hosting provider can also become liable under some circumstances and in some regions.

As a result - most adult content websites are hosted on dedicated servers - and of those hosting providers that do permit adult content, the majority are not hosted in the US but instead  in places where legislation is more relaxed.  Also the costs of these hosting companies tend to be much more expensive AND for what its worth - most tend to be LINUX/MySQL based - which means they would not be able to run DNN by default.

The other thing to also be aware of, is that even after you have found a web host - if you are planning on offering commercial access to your site - that is you want to charge people to access your material - then you will also need to locate a credit card merchant that allows the sale of adult content - very few payment gateways are willing to offer credit card services to such web sites - you cant you PAYPAL for example.

One other thing to be aware of, is that even if you DO find a host - in a legal jurisdiction that allows the hosting of such content - you may also become legally liable in your own country as well - as the legal owner of the website.

Ultimately - the bottom line is - when a host make the decision to allow adult content on its servers - it automatically becomes liable for any illegal materials that may be served from that hosting.
