I'm trying to install DNN on my Vista machine to do some local testing and evaluation of the product.

I've gone down the WebMatrix, Web Platform Installer route and followed the tutorial video on this site.

It all installs without any errors what so ever.

The problem is it runs soooo slowwwww, literally clicking on any button will rsult in a two minute wait. I've managed to change the skin to an Artisteer one and do some tinkering, but it's almost unworkable.

I have a reasonable fast pentium machine and none of the resources seem to be straining.

One thing I've just noticed in the Databases section of WebMatrix is that if I expand the SiteSqlServer node, Tables,Views and Stored Procedures all show exclamation marks.

The error being as follows, is this the cause of my slow wows and how do I fix it! Many thanks in advance, a DNN newbie!

Unable to cast object of type 'System.DBNull' to type 'System.String'.

I have the same red exclamation points and no access to any tables. the site runs fine with no real site slowing but I cannot edit the tables.

I am running a win 7 premium virtual machine with a fresh install of webmatrix. I had access to these tables for a few days then I get this.

Unable to cast object of type 'System.DBNull' to type 'System.String'.
