I installed the starterkit for VisualStudio 2010. When i try to create a new website in visual studio 2010, dotnetnuke web application framework in showing under visualbasic template and not showing as c# template. Is it possible to switch it as csharp template

Not as of right now, the current release is in VB.net. In 6.0 we'll be releasing in C#

I would recommend looking at installing DNN using WebMatrix or doing a manual install, not using the starterkit.

If i do a manual install; can i use it with Visual Studio. i prefer development using Visual Studio as IDE;

Yes you can still do you module development using Visual Studio.
