the displayTitle column is still available, but is contains now the information "display container". Replace title with an empty string and set displaytitle to true should be appropriate, it depends on the container you use, whether it still occupies space for the title.

Thank you Sebastian,

Yes, I saw there was a field called DisplayTitle in table TabModules, but it is already set to true for the modules I cannot edit.  Changing their titles (in table Modules) to an empty string makes no difference.

I have modules which are editable after the upgrade, using the same skin and containers as those which I cannot edit.  The ONLY difference I can see in the v2 database is that the 'ShowTitle' column is true for the modules I can edit after the upgrade, and I can see NO difference at all between modules that I can edit and those I cannot edit in the v3 database!

Do you have any other ideas?  Thanks again for your help.

Michael,

please check the module permissions table as well, and maybe as well module settings and tabmodule settings. Ensure, that caching is set to 0 for all modules.

Hi Sebastian,

The module permissions look ok to me - certainly there is no difference in settings between modules I can edit and modules I can not edit.

What am I looking for in ModuleSettings and TabModuleSettings?  My TabModuleSettings table, for instance, is completely empty - is this normal?

I am really in trouble with this now, so if you can help I would be very grateful!

have you checked, that caching is set to 0 for this module in module settings?

if permissions and settings look ok, I have no clue. YOu might need to reinstall the modules.
