Hi Everyone. First I thank you for listening to me. I have the following problem. InstallDotNetNuke. 05/06/2002 and install the database engine SQL SERVER 2005 expressversion. When you start the wizard and get to the configuration database. I get thefollowing error. I tried everything under the sun. But nothing.

Thanks for the help.

There are a lot of things depending on your particular setup and installation options that this could be but I'll go wit the most basic.

After installing MS SQL Server Express or any version you will need to:

1. Create a database (DNN562TEST) or whatever you want to call it.
2. Create a user account in MS SQL Server and map that user to the DNN562TEST database with owner rights.
3. While installing DNN you will use the above user account Username and Password exactly as you created them in MS SQL Server.

Based on your post it is not clear whether or not you have done this but these are the first steps required on the Database to get DNN to install.

Hope this helps and good luck!

Josh

make sure, you enabled TCP/IP protocol for SQL server and client - as well as the server is configured for remote access, if necessary.
