Please withhold any "GoDaddy sucks" commentary as it really isn't productive in fixing the issue.

I have installed DNN 6.0 RC as a clean install in my GoDaddy 4GH account running .NET 3.5 and SQL 2008.   I started with the "Blank website" template.  The installation quite a while, but completed without error.

When I have friendly URLs enabled, I can not click the "Home" button.   If I do, I get a 404 error.

If I disable the friendly URLs, the page loads fine.   Any ideas?

First identify if the site is running in 2003/II6 or 2008/II7/ 7.5.

Then try checking the application pool running - I have had some issues with integrated and classic with DNN.  Granted this was on an earlier site, but it gave me some headache until I changed the application pool method - not sure if you have access to that in the control panel, but since I do I was able log into our servers and sort it out.

In windows 2008 / iis7 the config file will display the type of application pool running, which you can then change to be either integrated or classic.
In windowns 2003 / ii6 you need to change the application pool in IIS which may or may not be possible in your setup.

If you want a clear indication - go to the log viewer and check out the error - it will normally tell you a bit more information.

www.donein.net appears NOT to be the primary domain...  Login and register  don't work either...

Your install on GoDaddy cannot be root so you must have a Primary Domain [call it XYZ.com; only you know at this point...] and your DNN installed to a folder/directory under the root, [call it DNNDir].  You should be able to enter, log in and operate the site via www.XYZ.com/DNNDir.  [plug in your real info].  If this works...

It appears you have directed/mapped www.donein.net to that folder DNNDir under your Primary; as illogical as it sounds you must add www.donein.net/DNNDir [plug in your real info] as a portal alias in addition to www.donein.net  [Yes, even though you cannot really navigate to your site via www.donein.net/DNNDir]

If it doesn't work... sorry...  it worked for me...

Oops - my bad - I didn't pick up the obvious error - Thanks Robert - I did however, have an issue with domain not resolving, but it was the wrong application pool, which is completely different to this very common problem.

sorry to have confused the matter by adding in a response that was incorrect.
