Just installed DNN 6 to Windows 7 using community install version configured with SQL Server 2005 Express and when the home default page appeared it looked as though it was not being rendered correctly; not sure if screenshot will appear properly below, but the way it looks is that there are no images or graphics and the links are all lined up in a column; I  tried to change the browser cache settings in both Firefox and IE, experimented with some of the configuration settings from the host pages, and nothing seemed to work--does anyone know anything about what's going on with the installation?

please check that you have the app_browsers folder and that it contains 5 files - as it appears that your site is thinking all your browsers are low capability and rendering basic content.

Thanks for the prompt reply--I verified the 5 files appeared as you suggested and then swapped them out entirely with an earlier install and got the same rendering as before...

Just thought of something--this install is on a tablet pc--could there be some type of form factor conflict going on?

ah,thats it then-the tabletpc is running a browser that asp.net sees as a down-level browser-if you can identify the useraent of the browser you can add a rule to app_browsers to treat it differently i.e. as an up level browser.
