Have just installed DotNetNuke on my local machine.  Was requested to change the Admin password on logging which worked.  Went to Admin -> Site Settings, changed Title, clicked Update and then the screen hangs with the rotating circle.  

I have tried IIS_Express, IIS Version 7, Internet Explorer and Chrome.  All with no luck. 

Additional information.  I am running .net 4.0 integrated (did try classic as well), also tried with VWD 2010 and I get a java script error after clicking Update (Line: 16 Error: Array.prototype.indexOf: 'this' is null or undefined).

what version are you running, there was an issue in 6.0 where site settings changes could cause a loop - it was resolved in 6.0.1 which was released yesterday.

I was on 06.00.00.  I have now upgraded to 06.00.01, but I am still having the same issue.

actually the bug for just for logo in the site settings (http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/ViewIssue.aspx?id=17475&PROJID=2) - can you please log this as a bug at support.dotnetnuke.com so we can fix it for 6.0.2

 I can reproduce the "busy icon spins" behavior in 6.0 if using .Net 4.0 AppPool.
Logged the issue in Gemini http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/V...

I do get a different error than what Steven has reported.
